We have had a fantastic start to Primary One! The children have settled well into life at Craigentinny and are becoming more familiar with the new routines.
School Office Hours
The school office is open between 8.30am and 3.30pm. If you wish to contact the school outwith these times, please leave us a message via telephone call or message us via GroupCall Eduspot (previously Xpressions). The office staff will deal with your enquiry when the office opens. All absences can be left on the answer line (Option 1) or via GroupCall Eduspot. If you are having difficulty accessing Eduspot, please call into the school office.
Eduspot
We have been informed some parents are having difficulty with Eduspot. We have completed an update and the problem should resolve overnight. By default the system only uploads the main contact. We are working to upload both sets of Parents/Carers. This should be completed by the end of the week. Parents/Carers who are not uploaded will still receive any important information in the form of a text message.
Annual Data Check, Photo and Video & Trip Consent Forms
These were sent home last week, if you have not yet done so, please return to school as soon as possible. The Key Consent Form is for all local trips for the whole school year.
P7 Residential to Lagganlia – 16 to 19 September
Our parent/carer information meeting is on Tuesday 26 August at 4.30pm at the school. Staff will be on hand to help support you with paperwork for camp, we hope you can attend.

Scooters and Bikes
We would like to remind parents and carers to securely lock up scooters and bikes if they are being left in the playground during the school day. We would also like to remind you that scooters and bikes should not be used in the playground. The is for the safety of all playground users, we appreciate your support with this.
Young Carers
On Tuesday 26th August 2025, Eva Labedz is giving an assembly to the P3-P7s. She is our Schools Co-ordinator for Young Carers and will give a presentation informing the children about being a Young Carer. Eva will then stay in school, from 2:45 – 3:30pm, to hold an informal Q&A session for parents/carers who would like to know more about Young Carers. If you have any questions, Eva will be happy to tell you everything you need to know.

This development opportunity is open to all aspiring and ambitious female footballers attending an Edinburgh Primary School in Primary 6 or Primary 7, for academic session 2025/26.
