🏐 Volleyball Skills! 🏐
P7 have been developing their volleyball skills in PE, learning and practising some of the key techniques used in the game.
We’ve been working on how to dig, set, serve and spike, before putting these skills together in games. There has been lots of communication, teamwork and determination as everyone works on controlling the ball and keeping those rallies going!
It’s been great to see confidence and skills improving each week. 🏐👏

⚽🦀 Crab Football! 🦀⚽
P7 had great fun trying out Crab Football in PE!
The rules were simple — stay in the crab position, no standing up and no hands on the ball! Add in a giant yoga ball and suddenly scoring a goal becomes a lot trickier than it sounds!
There was plenty of teamwork, tactics, determination and laughter as everyone shuffled, kicked and scrambled their way around the pitch.
A brilliant (and exhausting!) way to get moving — and definitely one we’ll be playing again!

🔺 Pyramid Challenge! 🔺
As part of our Ancient Egypt topic, P7 have been learning how Egyptian pyramids developed over time — from mastabas to step pyramids and eventually the smooth-sided pyramids we recognise today.
Then it was time to put our own building skills to the test! 🏗️

Working in teams, the children competed to build the biggest square-based step pyramid they could. There was lots of measuring, problem-solving, teamwork and some serious competition as everyone tried to make their structure bigger and better than the others! 📏🧱
They initially though it was going to be very easy, but quickly ran into engineering challenges and needed a reminder of the properties of shapes.
A brilliant hands-on way to bring our learning about Ancient Egypt to life.
