We have also been practising our French skills. The class revised how to say different greeting to each other, as well as how to say different colours.

We then learned how to log in to linguascope, a brilliant website you can use to practise different languages.

In art, we decorated leaves with different zentangle patterns. Then we put them all together to make this fantastic autumnal wreath!

Welcome to P3A!

What a fantastic first few weeks in we have all had in Primary 3. We have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know everyone! During the first few weeks, we have focused on settling in pupils and building routines.

We are excited for the year ahead and we hope share our learning with you throughout the year.

In numeracy, we have been learning about place value. We have been practising counting forwards and backwards within 1000.

We have also been learning how to say, make and write numbers within 1000. Pupils practised this skill using the dienes materials.

Our topic this term is Dinosaurs! We have been learning about the different characteristics of dinosaurs. We worked with a partner to find facts about different dinosaurs using information cards that were hidden around the classroom.

We have been learning about how paleontologists use fossils to learn about dinosaurs. We looked at different pictures of fossils and learned how they are made. Then we used clay to make our own dinosaur fossils.
