School Bulletin – 2 October 2025

Senior Leadership Team
As you may be aware, I will be starting maternity leave after the October holidays and so my last day will be Friday 10th October. After the October holidays, Mrs Collard will take up the position of Acting Head Teacher. We are currently recruiting for the Acting Depute Head Teacher and will let you know once this has been recruited.

To support in the interim, Mrs Galbraith, Principal Teacher, will not be in class on Monday-Wednesday. Mrs Rusbridge will teach P1B on Mondays and Tuesdays and P1A on Wednesdays.

Interpreter Parental Consultations
These take place on Tuesday 7 October here at the school. Interpreters have been booked and appointments sent home. If you do not require your appointment, please let us know.

P1 Screening
The team will be in school on Tuesday 8 September. All P1 parents/carers were sent home a Health Questionnaire.

Dental Inspections
The NHS Dental team will be in school on Thursday 9 October to complete the P1 and P7 dental inspections.

October School Holiday
School will close at the normal time on Friday the 10 October and reopen to pupils on Tuesday 21 October. We hope you all enjoy the break!

School Lunches
Lunches for the week we return to school (week beg 20 October) need to be booked by 10pm on Wednesday 8 October. This is to allow us to place the order with the school kitchen before we break for the October holiday. www.parentpay.com

Bikes and Scooters
A reminder that scooters and bikes must not be ridden within the playground. Please ensure that they are dismounted and walked to the bike racks upon entering school grounds. For safety reasons, e-bikes and e-scooters are not permitted anywhere on school premises.

Uniform
We are really proud of our school uniform and there is an expectation that uniform is worn by every child, every day. This includes P.E. days. We appreciate your support with this.

P7 Events diary
This events board will be updated regularly as events are organised and confirmed throughout the rest of the year. Please check back regularly for updates!

School Toilets After School
It is lovely to see our school playground being used after school, however, please note that after the school office closes at 3:30pm, we do not have the staffing to support access to the school building to use the toilets.

Eat, Meet and Play (EMP)
The next EMP is 24 October at 12pm here at the school. Pupils must be accompanied by an adult.

Thank you to all those that came to our first Coffee Meet Up and our Buddy Garden event last Friday. Our bake sale raised £333.29!

So far this term, your support has helped us fund stylus pens (including extra nibs), ipad keyboards, headphone adapters and a new mat for under the climbing bars in the gym hall.

Tickets for our Halloween events will be on sale on 01/10/25! You can find out more information and purchase tickets using the link below:

Class Coffee Mornings

We are looking forward to welcoming you into school for our class coffee mornings again this session. These relaxed gatherings are a lovely chance for you to hear directly from the children about what they have been learning, see some of their work, and enjoy a chat with your child about their learning with a cup of tea or coffee. Each class will host their own coffee morning, where pupils will share highlights of their learning. You might hear about a favourite topic, see a piece of work they are proud of, or hear about a range of areas of the curriculum. Two adults are welcome to attend for each pupil.

Here are the timings:

  • P1–P2: 9:15am
  • P3–P7: 9:00am
  • ESB: 11:10am
Each coffee morning will last around 30 minutes.

The dates for each class are:
